Hey people! It's been -oh my gosh- an entire week since I did a proper outfit post. I had my first week of school and I'm just settling in and getting the hang of it again. I am taking this Science Fiction literature class and I have already fallen in love with it. We spent the better part of the class last class talking about Battlestar Galactica. Yes, please. The first project to be tackled for that class is a readthrough of H.G. Wells' The Time Machine. I cannot believe I had never read that book! It's pretty great and clearly so important in the way that it has influenced Sci Fi as it exists now.

Anyway, I'm also taking some philosophy classes, a music in film class and a physics class. If you're in school - what are you taking and how are you liking your classes so far? If you're not in school but you were at school at some point - what were some of your favourite classes? :p I'm a nerd and I love to hear about the classes other schools offer.

One thing I've noticed while being back at school is how fashion forward the general population of my school is! Not many people dress down for class where I am. I've noticed this on a certain level before, but this year people are really kicking it up a notch. I'm finding inspiration around every corner! Literally.

I picked up this dress from Forever21 a little while ago and I love the pattern on it. Unfortunately, when I found it it was the only one left and it's a small so it fits a little short on me but I just wear it as a tunic or with a skirt underneath like I did today. I'm pretty excited about it, so many potential remixes in mind!

Alright guys, I'm off to play video games - err, I mean read.

  1. Ha, I remember my science fiction literature class. One of the books we read was something like A Mote in God's Eye or something.

I graduated college in December but I didn't really enjoy a ton of my classes. Very sad, I know. But I kind of rushed my way through college and didn't take anything outside of what I had to because the tuition was $21,000 a year (I had most of that covered in scholarships!).

I can barely fit into a large at Forever21 so kudos to you! I have a major love/hate relationship with that store.

  2. One of my fun classes is Children's Theatre. We are in the process of learning a story right now and then we'll go out to all the smaller surrounding schools and perform it :) I'm pretty excited since I'm a theatre junkie!
Also, I've recently come into a relationship with video games as well...I just got married and my hubby has got me hooked! So I enjoyed the ending to your post :)

  4. I think we are all dealing with the whole school/blog balancing thing right now. I guess that's the only thing that makes me not feel too bad for not blogging. I love the boots you are wearing by the way!
