One's life has value so long as one attributes value to the life of others, by means of love, friendship, indignation and compassion

I know the above quote is kind of a weird quote to have on a blog that is predominantly about me and what I like and what I wear and what I do. Thing is though, what I am and what I like and what I do (and in a way, what I wear) is a result of all of the people I love and all of their projects. I am who I am because of the people around me and I see value in my own life because of the bonds and relationships I have made with other people. In my opinion, life wouldn't be worth living without others who can love, or befriend, or in the least - understand you. From my point of view, a single life just in itself is a lonely place - but it is made wonderful by the life that surrounds it. I think at bottom, creating meaningful relationships is the most important thing one might ever do. Of course, there is a lot of stuff to work out about this claim and people might easily contest it. It's a simple thought though, and one I always come back to.
So in speaking of people who make life meaningful, the other night Dale and I went for a walk around Unionville during the Jazz Festival. It was a really pretty night and he snapped some pictures of me around some of the old houses turned shops and restaurants. We didn't really get any photos of the actual area, but trust me it's really very quaint. If you live in the GTA area - you should check it out.
I thrifted this dress last week and I am totally in love with it. I have been coveting blue dresses lately and this one was just so perfect; it fits me nicely, has just enough ruffle and has teeny tiny white polka dots - total score! Of course, I threw in the fascinator again for good measure and my favourite walking shoes.
My giveaway ended on Friday and while I didn't reach my goal of 35 entries - there is still a winner for the 15 store credit to Rhitbee Anne Vintage. The winner is...

YAY! Alright girl, so just let me know what you want when you want it and I'll take 15 dollars off the price!
Sometimes when Dale shoots my outfit photos he likes to give me direction, this particular one was "someone is being very loud in the library, what do you do?" I think he was feeling inspired by the IT crowd. Would have been better if it didn't make me lol. Seriously though, watch that clip I just linked to - it's hilarious.
Finally, in starting this blog I have met so many cool people who do the "befriending" and "understanding" thing really well. So thank you guys - for being supportive and reading, and coming back and commenting and hanging out. You guys are all awesome and I am glad to have got to know each and every one of you.
